HELPING FAMILIES FOR A BETTER FUTURE!
What is ABA?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is used to help children with behavioral needs such as Autism, ADHD, and other developmental disabilities that affect their independence. The goal is to provide training and improve skills related to social interactions, communication, academic learning, early childhood integration, motor functioning, and activities of daily life.
SCIENCO Behavioral Therapy creates personalized plans specific to the needs of the child. We deliver ABA therapy in a variety of settings, including school, home, clinic, and other community settings. We assist families and children in changing behaviors, making a significant impact in their lives.

You ask, we answer
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a treatment that uses scientific principles to improve individuals’ behaviors. It is mostly used for children with challenges in communication, social interaction, and independent living.
ABA intervention will include one-on-one therapy, where the main goals are two. First, reduce challenging behaviors. And second, learn the skills needed to master self-dependence and behave appropriately in social conditions.
Many years of research have shown that ABA therapy successfully treats challenges with cognition, communication, socialization, and self-help skills across all ages. Children with inappropriate behaviors will benefit from ABA therapy, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, and intellectual disabilities.
The length of Treatment is related to the needs of each child. Some children may need months, while others may take longer. The length of sessions also varies depending on the child’s needs. However, you may expect treatment sessions to last from 1 to 6 hours per session, having different sessions per week. For the number of sessions per week, the child’s other services and activities will be considered. Once the initial ABA evaluation is completed, time expectations will be discussed with parents and caregivers.
Our treatment staff is compliant with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Our providers regularly complete all safety, ethical, and professional training that state and federal entities require.
Progress in ABA therapy is measured by comparing the responses from the beginning of treatment with the changes observed as treatment continues. We use different ways to measure changes, including the frequency of the behaviors, the severity of the responses, and reports from caregivers and staff.
Different challenging behaviors are treated with ABA, including those related to disruption, hyperactivity, noncompliance, inappropriate communication, ineffective socialization, poor self-care, inattention, and aggression.
Treatment sessions will accommodate and include additional services the child may have, such as school, extracurricular activities, and other types of therapy.
ABA therapy approaches have shown to be effective across all ages and in a wide variety of areas, including education, organizational management, health and fitness, and substance abuse recovery.
