WHAT IS AN RBT?

The Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT®) certification is a paraprofessional certification in behavior analysis. RBTs assist in delivering behavior-analytic services and practice under the direction and close supervision of an RBT Supervisor and/or RBT Requirements Coordinator who is responsible for their work.

Meet Eligibility Requirements

Age:

Be at least 18 years old.

Education:

Have at least a high school-level education.

Background Check:

Complete and pass a criminal background check.

Training:

Complete a 40-hour training.

Initial Competency Assessment:

Complete and upload the RBT Initial Competency Assessment and the RBT certification application.
